I currently have 6.5" speakers mounted in my parcel shelf, would I benefit by fitting some speaker pods to seal the speakers or just leave the rear of the speaker open to the air in the boot space? :techsupport:

Need to be mounted onto something like MDF to help to stop any reverberation from the speaker. Mounted directly to the parcelshelf sounds terrible without any sound deadening. Mine are mounted on a single piece of 18mm MDF, which in turn is mounted to the parcelshelf that is covered in Dynamat. Bass is tight and sound projection is good but not great to be honest. Once iv rebuilt my Mini, I'll also be installing a sub in the boot.
