Hi guys and girls, just checking......even though it looks very obvious, will this work within a turbo setup?

You can probably find cheaper. Any continuous pump that betters your intended boost by 5+ psi should do. One with threaded connections might also be easier to plumb in than the 10mm hose inlet of the Metro original

for the record any proper injection pump ( ie will do 3 bar+) will be fine.

its worth considering using the MPI tank with the internal pump as this makes a neat job of the boot.

Yes considering the entire tank, little thin on the ground the old mpi minis here in nz.
I’d have to buy it all new and bring in from minispares.

No, you need an injection one, as it needs to be able to provide boost pressure plus 4psi. the regulator is set to 3-4 psi, and is then fed with boost pressure raising the fuel pressure as the boost rises.

something like this for an external pump

Thanks for your advice guys.

Why an injections pump? The Facet race/competition pump provides 5-7psi ?

@ Turbo Phil: Is turbo-mini.com your own site?

If so, what make is the pump, is it reliable and witch diameter are the hose-conectors?

Harold

You need to Google how boost referenced fuel regulators work

You need higher pressure because of the boost. Atleast 3 psi plus whatever boost you want to run. Ie 14 psi minimum really

Is a much higher pressure a problem? All the pumps for Injection I see are 3bar (44psi) or higher.

Not really, that's all that was available back when they put a T3 in the Metro. You can stick a resistor in the pump's electrical supply to drop it a bit.

Regulator.

The regulator sets the pressure. The standard metro turbo pump if you plug the outlet will make somthing like 90 psi.

The reg sets the pressure then bypasses any extra fuel back to the pump. It works in exactly the same way as the regulation on a fuel injection system, except the regulator is set to 3-3 psi instead of 3-4 bar. It's a special regulator with a much weaker spring to allow this low setting.
