Hi there.

So we have a 1986 Mayfair that I bought as a rolling shell (half completed) with 3 boxes of bits.  One was the dash, 3 clocks etc,

However our dream is to have the simple 1 big clock in the centre of the dash.

 

Where would I find that instrument or dashboard?

Is there a kit?

What sort of costs am I looking at?

Mini Spares sell a loom for the centre clocks that makes wiring in centre clocks a lot easier as it has all the bulb holders and plugs, you will need to splice it into your old loom.  They also sell new speedos and gauges but they are pretty expensive, if you want to keep costs down you would be best hitting the auto jumbles at Mini shows.

A great start thanks - i want an older clock as with the 998 engine im to rebuild - i really do NOT want a 200kmh speedo - 100 will be lucky ;)

 

 

UPDATE - ah i just saw their 130kmh

As you say - i need second hand as thats rather steep for me.....
