I've painstakingly separated the fabric trim from the rotted hardboard panels. It's a Studio2, not a common design so unavailable as a whole door card new.

I'm considering making new boards, do-able but it looks like quite a task, especially the keyhole slots for the retaining buttons so I thought I'd try to find someone who stamps out the bare hardboard.

Seems that's also a challenge ! Newton Commercial obviously make them but won't supply. I asked why but they don't seem to know !!

'All business is good business' I told the lady.

Any one been down this road ?

I see one e-bay seller supplies them in plywood but it includes the 2 rears which I don't need and they're thicker than the hardboard.

Still an option but my security blocked me from their website so not keen.

I've done it with new boards.

I think you've found the ones on eBay from Customshop Designs? They will make them out of fibre/MDF board too, which is what they did for me.

The boards are slightly thicker than the originals but they do fit. You have to buy the whole set though which didn't bother me because all of mine were shot.

I also asked Newton if they would supply cards but their business is in supplying higher-margin finished panels, rather than helping the DIY'er...fair enough really

I did end up buying new rear cards off them because my rear covers were too far gone.

Yes that's right. Ok, well if thicker will fit then it's probably the best route. Just didn't fancy damaging the fabric by forcing them in at the top.

I also asked Newton if they would attach my covers to new boards but even that was difficult, need a sample, not sure. Rover blinkin managed !

Any way, thanks for your input, I'll get it sorted one way or another.
