Hiya

So I'm after a little help, its been a while since I've been on here and knew you are all a helpful bunch

Ive got a land rover discovery, which I've been fully sound deadening and hope to have a decent sound system in it

the speakers i have are

     - A pair of Alpine SPR-50C (300w peak, 100 watts RMS)

     - A pair of alpine R-S69 (300w peak, 100 watts RMS)

Now I'm after some advice on what amplifier i should buy? id like everything to run through the amp and I'd quite like to keep everything Alpine. Id also quite like room on the amplifier to run another pair of speakers if i decide its needed after these are installed ( would be another pair of R-S69)

Also, What size/spec subwoofer would suit a big car like a discovery? Again any suggestions on an alpine product? Is there an amplifier out there that can runn 6 speakers, and a subwoofer together, or am i better of getting the subwoofer its own amp?

Im after a some decent, clear install.. nothing crazy that'll pop the rear quarter windows out of their seals.. lol

I hope all that makes sense, I'm struggling to understand whats what after doing some research

Many thanks, Mike

At 22 you can't really be expected to appreciate the value, and are certainly under estimating the cost.

Your Hearing !

If you make use of all that wattage, you may damage your ears, unless you have very good ear defenders.

Believe me I’ve got more to worry about than my hearing haha

The guy’s asked for some advice regarding a sound system for his car, that’s what this section of the forum is for.
He’s already said he doesn’t want anything too crazy. You know you can have a decent sounding system without having to damage your ears?

I’m guessing the r-s69 are 6”x9”’s? Why would you want another set?
Think about placement. If installed correctly, what you’ve got should be ample.
Sound deadening is another big issue which you’ve already addressed.
You can get 5 channel amps which would do your 2 sets of speakers plus a sub. Or go for a 4 channel and a 1 (or a 2 bridged)
I’m not sure if alpine do a 5 channel but I’m certain they probably do a 4 channel in the same range as your speakers.

As for sub, a 10” would be my choice. Nice right bass. A 12” wouldn’t necessarily be louder.
Again, a matching amp to its specs would be easy to find.
