For some bizarre reason I bought 5 litres of zinc primer (and synthetic thinners) to paint the inside and outside of my car. Any reason why I shouldn't (or should) use it?
Thanks

If the zinc primer is made for automotive purposes and compatible with the topcoat paint or sanding primer line you plan to use, no problem. It would not be my top choice (at least for the external surfaces) since I don't think surfacing primer and/or paint sticks as well to zinc primer as it does to epoxy, but zinc primer is really good for unseen areas like inside frame channels, subframes, and would be OK for the interior. Anyplace where there is low chance for wear or impacts from debris.
But if you pay attention to application instructions and details, it will be OK.

Thanks Dave, it is more difficult to work with than standard primer. I'm painting the inside of the car with it and internal panels. I'll use a more main stream primer for the outer surfaces. Just wanted to get into the roof channels inside the car with it.
