Hi I’m after a set of the minisport alloy callipers to replace my standard 8.5” setup, I’m a little confused what I will actually need to do the conversion, will The calipers just bolt strait in and retain the original metal disc covers or do I need discs and stuff ?
Thanks

They bolt straight on, I needed to shim the caliper around a millimeter to get it to center on the disc rotor. You remove the disc covers. For the cost you'll want new disc rotors, and when you get the calipers, you need new pads as they aren't supplied with them. Make sure you put them on the correct sides, the bleeders point up. You may want to replace the flex line while you're doing the install. You should also bleed the whole system.

Brilliant thank you, the set I’ve found comes with Torox vented grooved discs, and green stuff pads, assuming these will bolt strait on with them being vented ?

Do you have any threads exposed that have gone right through the hub?

No can’t see them on the other side I did look at that, it just didn’t seem long enough, assuming you should see the thread just poking through the disc side ?

Yes - you need full thread engagement (but not so much excess that they touch the disc obviously).

Ask MiniSport what they recommend, and with what washers as they will obviously make a difference.

You'll also want bolts as opposed to setscrews.

Minispates do some 53k1049

Sorry but sounds like typical. MiniSport providing poor kits.  My MiniSpares alloys calipers came with all the correct mounting kit

Have you even seen a Minisport kit, typical? Sounds like a typical TMF response from CERTAIN members,

I've had 4 kits, all come with the needed hardware, the correct caliper bolts.
