Hi I’m just wondering which order to do this, I’ve got some new foam for the engine bay side if the bulkhead bit I’m unsure do I fit this before the wires, wiper motor etc or afterwards?
Thanks ?

Don't fit the engine bay side insulation as it will trap moisture

Thanks for the advice, but if I was to fit it would you do it first or after wiring etc ?

The sound deadening goes in before the wiring and fuse box, personally I dont fit them as it traps moisture and can be fiddly to work around. You might be able to make a few neat cuts so the deadening pad is removable without having to remove the wiring etc.

Hope I'm helping you with this advice.
Regards

Cal

I would never put sound deadening in the engine compartment of a carb mini. Stick it inside the dash against the firewall.

again, as said above. they hold water!!! not what you want on a mini at all! just buy some sound deadening mat and fit to the inside(dehind dash) i did mine last night with 10mm stickyback close cell foam.

There are some under bonnet foam insulation pads around that are closed cell. I think the ones Smiffys Bits sell are.
