Wheel Nut Torque Setting

I put this in the Torque Setting section then realised it is unlikely to be seen there -

 

Thanks for the (torque setting) pdf, a really useful table. I see that it suggests 50 lb ft for wheel nuts, but I have 10" alloy minilites and I wondered if this value is too high (similar question to Uxmini on 21 April 2018)?

I use 50 on all my minis (steel and alloy wheels)

Alloy wheels I use 50 Nm (Metric) which is less than on steel rims.

I use 45lbft

The wheel material shouldn’t make much difference - you are torquing the fastener, ie pre-loading the thread.
