Seeing as my mini should have grey trim, like the bumpers, grill, arches mirrors etc instead of all the chrome I’ve put on. Imo the grey did make it look a little grey and boring.

And having already had to replace the standard grey wheel arches because of them being damaged, but the only arches I could find at the time were the black ones. So I thought I would spray them grey as a bit of a compromise, between the grey and chrome, and therefore keeping some of the exterior trim original.

Only does anyone know what the nearest off the shelf (Halfords spray cans) colour match to the nimbus grey Austin rover used?

As I don’t really want to spend hours standing in front of the spay cans section trying to decide which colours the nearest match.

cheers,

Still looking, although if anyone knows the paint code for the grey used on the bottom half of those KIA 4x4’s I might get a can of that made up and just go for it as I don’t have anything that’s the original grey to compare with.

I'm sure there were some nimbus grey arches on ebay not so long ago...?

These are the one's on my 25 - pretty sure they're the nimbus grey - if this helps anyone with the colouring side.

Well I did happen to meet another mini25 owner at one of the shows who have had there one from new and has been restored/repainted once or twice, even gave me a paint code for the grey. But for the life of e I can’t find it or remember it now, (ruddy beer)

And the set of arches I’ve got are only a few months old so don’t really want to go changing them, would also like a semi shiny finish so I don’t have to use bumper black stuff on them every weekend.
