Good evening all i have a 1996 spi. When i put the heater on i only get hot air on the passenger side to the footwell and dash vents . But inly cold air on the drivers side can anyone help me in trying to resolve this. Could it be a simple sie lock ? Many thanks

Very strange, if it’s like the one in my ‘90 with the larger hoses, the inside of the heater case after the heater matrix is just combined left and right together. I’d remove it, check for any blockage within the matrix or the housing. I’ve had mine apart 3 times now (crap matrix that keep weeping from a trusted supplier) and its been full of stuff sucked through large hose behind the front grille every time, so if it’s been on a long time there could possibly be some clogging with leaves etc. before the matrix.

 

It’s a doddle to get off and back on so not a difficult job, you can catch the majority of the coolant in a small bucket. Just remove the carpet beforehand to prevent it getting wet with any spillages.
