Getting in early as we've just confirmed the dates with Red Funnel ferries!

For the weekend of the 12th and 13th September 2020, if you take a Mini (either BMW or classic) over to the island Red Funnel will only charge £32 for the crossing (it's normally over £60).

WCM will be organizing runs down from Bristol and Wiltshire areas (with other pick-up spots enroute). We have also teamed up with Sandown Airfield again who will provide camping areas free of charge with an onsite BBQ and bar opened for lunch and in the evening.

Being at an airfield has led to an interesting pairing - one of the UK Gyrocopter groups shared the day with us in 2019 and were so keen to meet again they booked their spot at the airfield before us!

I'll update this post as we firm up the other plans we have for the day....

We'll also post updates on our Facebook page.

I am interested in attending this as we were on the island last year and enjoyed seeing all the Minis coming off the ferry, how do I get the discount when booking with Red Funnel ferries?

We’re just waiting on Red Funnel putting their 2020 event specials online, once they’re up and I’ll post up links.

Quick update on this - we've now secured additional discounted crossings from Red Funnel allowing for an extended stay. You can now book a Friday-Monday crossing. All via the same links in the post above.

Details have been emailed out (via the WCM mailing list) and will be going on to the IOW Adventures website shortly.

Actually sounds like a really good deal, very interested in doing this. Sounds great and will hopefully attract even more people from further afield.

Few more updates have been circulated recently, most notable is that the local holiday park have given discounted rates for their static caravans. Prices are generally below that of most of the local hotels. All details have been put on the website (WCM IoW Adventures).

Just a quick up date - we're still hoping the IOW adventure will go ahead. We're watching what's going on and will be making a call in July. There is another event going on at the same venue the week before so we're keeping an eye on that too.

With the event only a few weeks away now, we made an update via email and to our Facebook group.

As everything seems to mangle formatting, here's the update as an image (text as image, bad form I know, but such is the world of social media).

Glad you enjoyed it! A little smaller this year for obvious reasons but we think it was something like 120-150 cars over the course of the day so not bad all things considered.
