Cheers for the reply Graeme. I was hoping for a slightly steadier reading that what i was getting. I could then have compared it with the car tacho.

I recently replaced some ignition parts and checked my timing. I was getting the most consistent timing I’ve ever had - with my innova timing light it was within 10rpm at idle. The flashes on the timing marks was very consistent too
