i've got one already, don't need another  ;D

trying to get an understanding of whether it's complete or not as it'll influence what people are likely to offer;  obviously with all the bits needed to complete it'll be worth more than if it's missing bits (..that they'd need to source themselves..)

stuff that's hard to get hold of these days (..and therefore more attractive to a potential buyer..) are the old style rear light units with rover P4 type lenses which i think yours should have had and the roof lining frame (..i've never seen one advertised anywhere..)

KTS your a lucky lad. :shades:

Yes it is for sale was looking to get valuation Anybody, your welcome to leave your bid.

Yes its complete even has its head lining, baring the couple of bits i listed and headlamp buckets LOL

Have old style light units if required as well as its originals minus 1 indicator lens originals are a plastic backed not chrome like oldies. would have to change rear panel to fit old lights

Lots of rare goodies already listed.

1380 stage 11 ready to go straight in or if wanted or a 1275 complete would need rebuild.

Thinking of bidding, please dont do it in your dreams

chances of finding another pick up finished in primer with all associated bits about 0

so dont miss this one

I think you need to add some pictures of what has been done and the standard it has been done to, the value could vary wildly if its a concours job so far or a badly welded up old spud (i'm not suggesting its that but without pictures its hard to value).

I would have thought between 5-6K for it if its been done to a reasonable standard, by the time its finished and painted it would probably cost around the same again to do (if you pay someone to the paint etc.) and they seem to be worth around 10-15k (maybe a bit more) when really nice.

As I said without pictures it's hard to value something but if you look at the completed listings for mini pickups on eBay you can see that the highest that sold was just over 10k and there was one for just under 10k that was bid on but didn't meet it's reserve.

Im afraid advertised asking prices are one thing but actual selling prices are what matters.

You also have to consider that if someone is going to finish yours they want to end up with one for less than buying a completed one.

Of course if you already know what it's worth why are you bothering to ask us?

Pictures are available, files are to big for here have stated ask and will send

Cant just go by ebay for prices there is a whole internet for research

putting up 5/6 as a kick in the nutz price is foolish really isnt it asking for a rude reply

if you are going to put up a price at least put up somewhere near realistic

would have a half mile queue waiting at my door if it was put up @ 5/6k its a dreamers figure. had you put up 7/8 would have been closer still dreaming though.

with respect, if you want to sell the car, post a topic in the for sale section with a price that you'd be willing to accept

seems pretty pointless starting a topic in the valuations asking for people to give you their view on what they think the car's and then insulting someone who suggests a figure you don't happen to agree with

I don’t think the value is too far off without seeing pictures. The shell would need to be perfect, so correct sills, correct front panel, good load floor etc, prefect fitting doors etc to make top money.

Cambridge Miniworks have a nicely restored one for £18k, they are a dealer so you expect to pay a bit more, the £30k one will never sell at that money so to complete a project any spend above £17-18k and it is probably too much money.

I am glad I bought mine when I did as that £500 investment puts me in a good place if I ever sell.

Why are you bothering to argue with a bunch of strangers on an internet forum?

You asked a question, didn't get the answer you wanted but life is like that. It's time to move on.

At the end of the day it's worth what someone will pay for it. If no one wants it then it's worth nothing, if just one person wants it and has to have it they will pay over the odds for it.

Best thing if you want to sell it is advertise it for what you would be happy to let it go for and see how it goes.

If the phone is ringing off the hook it's too cheap,if no one calls it's too much and if one person calls and buys it then it was just right. Like Goldylocks and the three bears...

Just decide how keen you are to sell or if you don't mind hanging onto it.

I had my MK2 Jag valued by Bonham's last year and the valuation was a lot lower than I wanted so I have kept it. I thought it would be worth more as it's the first one built and was a factory development car but they weren't so sure. I could have advertised it got a high price but it would almost certainly still be in my garage.

One thing I did not do was start arguing with the assessor from Bonham's as whether I think he is right or wrong that is his opinion which is what I asked for.

Out of interest their valuation was 35K for it in fully restored condition to original specification which is only slight above one of the pickups advertised, that might be why the pickup is still for sale.

Photos being too large to upload isn’t really an excuse, just upload to one of the many free photo hosting sites and post forum friendly links to the photos.

https://imgbb.com/

https://imgur.com/upload

There’s loads more.

If you are keen to sell stick it on eBay with a reserve, loads of photos and description, that’s a pretty good way to test the market, and just be clear no offers below X amount.
