I'm in need of a crankshaft for my 96 MPI,

I have in the garage a Japanese MPI/SPI auto with a non functional gearbox,

Two questions:

firstly,                        are the crankshafts the same

and if they are?

secondly                   is the flywheel removal tool the same?

thanks in advance

Davy

Hi Folks,

My very first posting on here but I would like to offer my two pence worth regarding the flywheel puller used on the AUTOMATIC versions of the Mini, this because the puller for the CONVERTER used on the automatics is much smaller than the regular flywheel puller.

Cranks are the same I believe.

Best wishes
Tony.

Used automatic transmissions are getting scarce so perhaps if the transmission is surplus to requirements it could be sold complete with converter etc?
