I have recently taken apart my rear subframe and found that the radius arm shafts and bushes are work out so I was wondering if anyone had the tools and knowledge to help me out with the reaming of the brass bush, I'm located in the Gloucestershire area.

If you are only every going to do the arms you have, I'd suggest obtaining a set of Exchange Arms. It will save some headaches and money.

There's a number of firms who offer them.

I had an exchange radius arm from Motoquip in Cirencester a while back https://cotswold-mot...x.php?page=home

There is also Bull Motif in Winchcome, although they don't have exchange units on their website they might be worth a call https://bullmotifminispares.com/

Failing that if you want to go the cheaper diy route, a chap in our club recently used a home made 'reamer' made from a radius arm shaft by cutting a couple of teeth in one end. This assumes the wear on the old radius arm is restricted to the shaft and bearings and not the ends of the radius arm itself. There again if the wear is only slight on the shaft you might get away with just replacing the shaft.

maybe a bit late for the OP but check the state of the reconditioned arm by removing the pin and trying it in the bush to see how much slack there is and to see if the alignment is true as it should be, there are a lot of so called "reconditioned" arms but in reality people are using all manner of incorrect methods to do this service and the life of those arms will be massively reduced.

Any seller that doesn't allow you to do this test will probably have something to hide, buyer beware !
