I am replacing the racy steering wheel on my Mini with the original. Can someone tell me where the hot wire (the one that comes through the steering centre) is connected to, please. The problem is that I am unsure if I have all the correct parts as there seems to be many options for early Minis. Finally, is it difficult to remove the slip ring as I may have to replace the hot wire.

The hot wire has a spring and circlip, this contacts the metal cup inside the horn button. The metal cup contacts the plate on the horn then goes to the screw then into the column
