Hi;

Just throwing this out there, how much is a 1275 A+ Engine with an Auto Gearbox worth, if it turns by hand.

Its in a car I am considering breaking,  poss done 36K but sat for 9 years.

Tks

£50 - £100 as you're in Devon consider it nearer £50 than £100.

I’d normally think £300, based on £100 for each component part (head, block and gearbox) but wondered whether the auto gearbox would increase or decrease the price.
Surely without the gearbox it’s still worth around £200?

I am considering buying the donor car and breaking it, if I can get it cheap enough, only problem is I have nowhere to store it ?

The engine can’t just be bolted to a manual gearbox without machining of oil ways and a dip stick hole. Hence the value isn’t what manual block would be. The heads are the same so that’s worth something.
