I can't find a definitive answer to this but was under the impression it went like this.
Mini SPi '92 - '94 MEMS 1.6
Mini SPi '95 - '96 MEMS 1.9
Mini MPi '97 - '00 MEMS 2J
I have a '96 Equinox SPi and using a SP ARC 4 I can only connect to it when I select MEMS 1.6 . If I select MEMS 1.9 it fails to communicate. The ECU part number is correct for that year. I can read and test all components and clear fault codes. Apart from the alarm inter-phase is there any difference on the mini between 1.6 and 1.9?
