Here is my latest project....well one of them ( I am also restoring a Van).

I had real luck finding this Mini, the last owner have had it dry stored for over 30 years. It was almost rust free, I have only changed the front ( damage ), rear fender ( damage) and back plate ( rust).
This is an Norwegian car so it has been driven in snow and salt, can’t believe that the floors and sills are the originals from 1970.

This restoration is going to be very original with a few changes, more on that when I get so far.Attached File  747F2C40-E6B8-4041-BCA0-C5379428339C.jpeg   42K   3 downloads

Wow, I'm going to enjoy this one. I love mk3 minis. Got any idea on looks and colours yet?

I will try to update as often as I can, might forget some times.
The colour is not decided yet, but it’s definitely going to be an original 70s Mini colour.

Thinking of a yellow sort as there are nearly non of them left.

I really like Bronze Yellow or Citron ( it’s a bit to new, but only by 3 years).

I have some problems posting photos here, if I don’t figure it out I post some photos of the project at Instagram: austin_cooper_restoration

There seem to be more bronze yellow cars now than you saw in the 70's and 80's.
The harvest golds and limeflowers that were so popular seem to have disappeared.

I am kind of leaning towards Citron as there are just a few Minis in Norway with that colour.

But it is a long way until I can paint it, I might change my mind a few times before that.

Nice project !

I have the same issue as you. What 70'S color should I choose?

Mine will be (one day) Apple Jack, as I am not a fan of the original black. But I am still far away from painting it...

Anyway, good luck with your project!

It’s about having the most crazy 70s colour, ha ha

Thank you and good luck with your project as well.

Not so much happening to the Mini now, but the rear fender is finally on. I ordered it before Christmas, but nobody had it in stock.
Also all the parts for the front and rear subframes has been painted.

Soon ready to spray epoxy primer on the fender, doors and boot lid. This project is then on a pause as my 1975 Mini needs to get ready for the season ( ******* head gasket). But it won’t be long until I start again with this one.
