yo! who make the best amps? im after some thing with a about 400-500W of out put!

depends... we need a little more information. what do u want the amp to do? be bass or have high quality? therefore chossing the class off the amp eg class A has low quality but alot of power. also how much money do you have to spend? is the 400-500 peak or rms? how many channels. and what will it be poweing, also an idea on your exisiting set up will help with an amp choice! hope that helps mate and that i can help a bit more

well by the sound of things if i want to speakers and one sub i need 4 channel right?? i want sumat i can turn the bass down on tho because im not going to be playign dance stuff 24/7

i would say, Alpine, soundstream, quite alot of good makes. deepend what you want to power.

right, my personal amp manufacturer favorite would have to be JL or Rockford Fosgate. Alpine do make some good amps, i still have one laying about somewhere. Again as with most things, it all depends on what you intend on using the amp for. Light use would be Alpine probably, however out and out power would be a much more expensive and better made amp.

JL have created the Mini demo car, which has just taken the best sounding vehicle at the CES 2004 contest in the US. JL amps use a technology called Absolute Symmetry, this basically ups the fidelity of whatever input goes into the amp. This feature is only built into the class A 'E-series' amplifiers. Its worth spending the money.
