Hi, only just made an account on here so not entirely sure if this has been posted in the right place or not so I had to make a guess.

Am currently restoring a 1974 mini clubman and was hoping for some advice on making the pedals feel a bit nicer. The accelerator pedal feels a bit crunchy when pushed and I dont know if this is the cable in the housing not having been lubed or a problem in the mechanism in the pedal box.

I was also wanting slightly larger pedals and didnt know if this would require a new pedal box or just new pedals.

Any help will be appriciated,
Nathan.

The throttle pedal is separate to the other pedals, change the cable and outer protector, go to a bicycle repair shop for a rear gear cable, you will need to cut the cable short but it will be cheaper than the mini spares items, also get a length of new protector too.

Take your cable with you to the bike shop (when it re-opens), to make sure that you get the correct nipple on the pedal end of the cable.

Same reason garages are still operating I'd imagine
