I have the Sykes Pickavant tool for installing one but not for getting one out.
If anyone has the puller part or the whole lot for sale and can post it I’d be interested.
Thanks

You don't need any puller. It's a seal, screwdriver/chisel on one side it will pop out or screw a self tapper into it.

A self tapper isn’t a bad shout I guess. I tried levering it’s but not happening.

you pull the seal out with the primary gear, thats how the genuine churchill primary gear seal puller works.

The Sykes-Pickavent ones also crop up often and they have less bits to be lost. In fact as long as you get the outer shell the rest is easily made up. Much easier to use too.
The sets with the puller and the seal installer together are a nice bit of kit.

With further problems and the engine now back in the car I’m looking to pull the seal and primary gear again whilst in situ.
I can’t find a traditional puller anywhere and can’t ‘pull off’ the screw in the side of the seal method this time due to the angle I’m working at.
I’ve put a wanted post out but if anyone has used any other puller to do the job please let me know.

If you have access to a welder then you could make one like I've made below, doesn't have to be tube you could use 3 or 4 lengths of metal around the radius
I used some 65mm ID tube cut it up and made the bolt end for it out of 6mm plate and the other a U shape with a ~48mm ID to match the gear groove and I welded together and drilled and tapped it M12. which got us something similar to the standard tool, used an old main bolt and drilled it a little to centre the tool bolt. and gave it a lick of paint
