going to be replacing the floors and boot floor in my mk1 mini in the winter what size spot weld drill bits are handiest for this 6mm 8mm or 10mm cheers for any advise

I mostly use 6mm, and then the odd 8mm.

Yep, try and get 'Dormer' ones, bit more expensive but they tend to last longer

Ive had good results with a Wurth spot weld drill bit. again more expensive but if you go slow will last and do a good job

I used to drill an incredibly large amount of stainless steel and my company used to buy the cheapest bulk bits available. The key is to keep the bit well lubricated and it will perform well for a prolonged period.

Sharpened them with grinding disc. Not perfect but smashed through both layers of panel on the first couple of spots!
