Hi - New member.  I live in the US.  I once had a 1974 Mini which I restored and then sold to help pay for the acquisition for a business.  Fast forward another 5 years and I've found another project.  I bought a 92 Mini from a older Briton in Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.  When I picked up the car, he must of had 12 to 15 Minis in various conditions all in a storage unit with a few cats at the local small airport as well a few poor Minis sitting in the elements.  The car smelled of cat piss and was in 'OK' shape.  It had a bit of rust here and there.  It also still had some paperwork from Japan.  Someone must of imported it from Japan.

Anyways, I managed to barely fit it onto a U-Haul trailer and brought it back down to Orlando (approx. 5 hours).

At first I was going to just keep it and drive it as it is, but being a somewhat perfectionist I decided to take care of the minor floor rust at the front of the car.  Well, that turned into a couple day job which in turn then I completely removed the interior and made the decision of wanting to go VTec with the car, as I know this basically hot rods the Mini of-sorts, but would be fun.  Also the Minitec guys are located up in GA and I would go that route, as they've already figured out the cage to hold a Honda engine.

The pictures show where I am thus far, and I will be adding more posts as I go.

I really did like the British racing green color... but always wanted a Bright Red.. somewhat like the Mars Red used by VW.  Also decided to keep with what I like with the Sportspack Arches.

The rear subframe was in pretty good shape, so I was able to clean off what rust there was and respray.  Also decided to go with all new brakes, stainless brake lines, and new suspension.

This is my most recent photo.  Most of the trim and grill are all new.  The bulbs in the head lights are from Moss Motors, they sell an LED kit which should really outperform the Halogens.

That's one hell of a roof rack you have on the red one.
