Hi .just finished rebuilding my 998 engine. I want to give it a run out of the car. I have seen YouTube videos. Will the engine oil leak from the drive shaft holes. I gave fitted new seals.

i would appreciate anyone’s feedback. Regards Richard

Have you got a spare dizzy cap, in case the engine falls foreword and smashes it ?

Did it nearly 20 years ago with a Metro engine as I recall. You need to make sure it can't fall over as a bare minimum.

I just run the engine sitting on the deck, if you really wanted to you could use an engine hoist to support it?

If worried I suppose you could put it on a couple of planks or a piece of wood and ratchet strap it to those, but they are pretty stable just sitting on the gear box.
