Hi all,
Im not sure how this forum works or if I’m using it correctly but Christmas 2018 my boyfriend bought my a classic mini in need of a complete restoration and I’m a total novice that’s in love with the classic mini.

I was initially told that the badge on the bonnet isn’t the correct one for my car (it’s the one with the bull)

So far that’s all I know about my car is...
Make : Austin Morris
Model : Mini City
First registered : 14/07/1982

Welcome to the forum. If it's a city it won't be a Morris with the bull badge. It will be an Austin. Post up some pictures of the Mini and let us know what you are planning to do to it. There are loads if friendly folk on here with a vast amount of knowledge!

Thanks.

That’s all I’ve done up until now is look at it as I was pregnant when I had it and now I’ve got a busy one year old but she’s coming out of the garage over the weekend to start stripping her down to see exactly what condition it’s in and if there are any bits missing.

Welcome to the forum. The city is true to the original concept of the Mini as the high gearing gives amazing mpg and you've got ten inch wheels too which a lot of owners prefer.

Hope you have lots of fun restoring. Have you named the car yet?

Don't look too bad from the picture. But all will be revealed once it's out in the daylight.

I’ve not decided on a name yet we’ve been trying to work one out using the number plate MDO 614X

Yeah it doesn’t look too bad from what I could see but it’s going to be stripped tomorrow and then sand blasted to see if or how much welding it’s going to need.

I’m very much in love with the mini lights

Mine is getting closer to a bare shell now, nearly time to put some new panels back in.
Looking forward to seeing how yours comes along now Rhi.
