Hello all,

I am new to the forum and joined to ask if anyone else has had this issue.

We have a brand new Mini cooper classic.

After only a couple of days I noticed pitting damage on the drivers door panel.

On investigation it seems when the seat belt recoils back into place it has damaged the door trim.

I have not been over forceful with the seat belt but it has definately caused some damage.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards Paul

I think you should try asking on MINI2.com

But have a grumble for me at your dealership for BMW marketing a car with an even more confusing name

TMF just caters for "classic" Minis, them's the little rusty ones that piddle oil on your drive

I've seen quite a few cars that have been damaged by seat belt buckles where the wearer has released it and just let it fly back without guiding it back.

Could that have happened here?
