Hi all,
1. Just tried turning our mini over and discovered the fuel had all leaked out onto the manifold overnight, not sure how this can be possible but the temporary fuel tank I have on the front wing (Our tank is rotten) is higher than the tank usually is. Could someone explain a reason for fuel leaking out the carb. The bottom cover for the carb fuel is sealed fine with a new rubber gasket recently. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Especially whilst I have the carb in pieces.
2. Another issue is that while rebuilding+cleaning the carb the adjustment screw is not able to change the jet height, upon researching this it appears the jet is stuck, I have tried tapping it from the top with a screwdriver and some elbow grease but it's not budging. Any ideas?
Plus the L shaped tube for fuel draw has now snapped because of the strain from being pulled by adjustment screw and bracket. Just some info for others to check if your jet is stuck and you've been trying to adjust it, the plastic can snap just under the tab because of the pressure the adjustment plate applies upwards causes the plastic to be strained sideways if the jet is seized.
Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
