Appreciate you sourcing it all the same though, will keep an eye out for an original but I might have my work cut out.
There are a couple abroad but extortionate money.

When I needed a front and back badges and bezels for my MK2 I got genuine ones from Ebay eventually. I ended up getting them from 2 different sellers over a period of time. As we all know with Ebay it is luck if it has a lot of bidders or not
I wondered if they were the same badge as used on the bonnet of the 1300 range (and might be cheaper if listed for those) as anything with Mini on it seems to push the prices up these days.

Possibly, I will keep an eye out, must admit I never thought to look at the 1300, will have a check

The two examples so far illustrated here have a pretty incredible plastic insert as most are heavily crazed like this one so you may have to settle for a less than perfect example. AFAIK the part has never been available as a reproduction item so the item advertised as that may be 3D produced if that is possible with clear items? You can conceal the crazing on these with WD40, but you obviously need to keep adding more every so often.

They are very good examples and I would indeed be exceptionally fortunate to locate one like this, would like to get one in fair condition and will keep an eye out, the WD40 tip is good to know, thanks

I’ve picked up a few on eBay for around £40. Just a case of waiting I’m afraid
The one I have fitted to my Mini was a little crazed when I got it but a light going over with some jeweller’s rouge brought it up lovely
