Kerb weight according to the handbook is 645kg, nothing mentioned though for gross vehicle weight.

1050kg quoted for an MPI.
Don't see why any saloon would be different as they all sit on the same suspension (post hydrolastic)

I don't have an all up Gross weight, but I have a 'loading' figure of 318 Kg and a kerbside weight of 638 Kg. Putting these together would give a Gross Figure of 956 Kg.

Checked my vin plate nothing on there either, do you think there would be a difference between a 998 and 1275?

Sorry, the figures I've quoted come from the Factory Workshop Manual that covers your year model.

The MPi figures may be a touch higher - middle age spread had set in by then and with fancy dashes, fatter seats, side impact protection, airbags etc....

If that's any help the registration document for my van has an entry for Revenue Weight and it's listed as being 954kg gross.
