Hello

I'm in a huge bodywork on the Mini and I have to questions. I started to build up the door frame first, I have to replace all the panels at the door post. I bought heritage panels. With the floor panel in place and secured by screws the boxing plate (ALA5688) does not fit to the edge of the floor, but it fits good at the upper end and to the dash. On the pictures you'll see the left side, the right side has the same issue.

Should I cut the inner panel and shortening it ? What is your opinion ?

Other question is about the stiffener panel ALA6473 and the door step/post panel HMP441012. The stiffener has two "faces" which are in contact to the door post panel ( The 3rd face has the holes for the door hinges)

Both these two face has to be spot welded to the door post panel ?

I hope you'll understand what I want to ask  :proud:

This may perhaps help you answer your query if you have a look at this:

Yes, this is answer to the second question :)

My problem is when I attach those two panels face-to-face as on the video, the door will move backwards a little and it will collide with the B-post.

From the other view if the door fits fine I'll get a 1,5-2mm gap at the inner edge of the stiffener panel.

Take this at your own risk.I would bolt the door to the hinge panel and fit it in its place so the roof and B pillar gaps were good.I would line other things up with the door position. This assumes the door did fit and you have not done any work on it.Steve..

Thanks ! I bolted the door on ( 100 times at least  :proud: ) and it looked good, that's why I did not understand why the inner panel won't fit. At the end I shortened the panel and spotwelded in.
