Hello, one of the 'great' features of the early 70s Canadian market Minis was the inclusion of side-marker running lights on the wings. The factory was even nice enough to include 2 holes in the wing of my 1972 Mini 1000, to allow for a clunky double reflector/light unit. This doesn't seem to be an item easy to replace.

In getting my Mini road legal, this appears to have become an issue. I'm also hoping to add the large side-repeaters as this would be unnecessary.

Any opinions on finding a replacement, or more likely a work around. Would it be a good option to purchase the small square-ish marker light holder, bulb and somehow wire it up? Anyone explored using an LED unit and worked out how it would get proper power?

Could you include an image of what you're trying to fit?

Originally the 70s Canadian side marker looked like this one on the lower wing.

Someone kindly put the square one on my car, with a hole left in the panel (which is not something I want to fill & paint over).
