I know the its been asked before as I can find some old posts but I can’t seem to get a definitive answer

I have bought and just about to fit the mini sport 7.5 inch disc kit,

I am looking to run 10 inch steel wheels Without arches

Some posts say cooper s, some say any and do I need drum spaces to the rear?

What are my wheels and tyre options?

Thanks

A friend of mine has the cooper S replica alloys from JBW. Theyre 4.5x10 with ET 32 i believe. They almost just fit under the arches completely. The tread is covered, the wall of the tyre isnt. You can compare wheels and tyres on willtheyfit.com
An example would be the Rosepetals 4.75x10 with ET40. Theyre 2mm further in than the cooper S replicas I believe. Hope this helps

I have the Mini Spares MSSK013MS
BRAKE CONVERSION KIT 8.4" TO 7.5" BRAKES USING MS CALIPERS on mine, with the C-21A1968
WHEEL, MINISPARES 4.5x10 SILVER NEW TYPE WHEEL 'S' OFFSET. They fit, neatly, within the arches without spacers.

yes - spacered drums go with disc brakes

the offset of the wheel will determine whether or not you should fit arches

a 4.5" S rim has an offset of ET36 and sits within the wheel arch, a 4.75" rosepetal is approximately 6mm wider, but the mounting flange is 4mm closer to the outer rim (ET40), so the outer rim sits 1mm further inboard than an S rim

a simple rule of thumb is that for every half inch (12mm) you add to the rim width, you'd need to add about 6mm to the offset (..of the S rim..) to keep the outer rim in the same relative position as an S rim

i thought the S offset wheels are ET32... would like to find one with 36

So if I go with 4.5 inch rim I need an offset of around +35

Can I fit 165 tyres or would I need 145

..anything up to about ET30 on a 4.5J rim should be fine

you can fit 165's on a 4.5" rim.
