
Hiff44 Carb Mini Wont Start.

If it has been standing a while, it might be worth just checking the fuel hasn't just gone off. I had this happen to me after only a couple of months in activity. What I would do before you pull the carb apart, is remove the top of the float bowl (carb still on the engine). Drain any fuel in there and fill it up with fresh and then try and start it. If the float bowl is dry when you take the top of that means the float valve is stuck and not letting fuel in any further than the inlet of the carb. If these fail to work then you will probably have to take the carb off and clean it out, but the SU is a simple beast and there isn't a lot in them to go wrong.

Hif carb has the float bowl on the bottom, the carb needs to come off to get to it.

Hif carb has the float bowl on the bottom, the carb needs to come off to get to it.
Good point! I didn't read the description properly. I still think it would be worth rigging up some thing to test the petrol before it all gets pulled apart and wastes the gaskets and time etc.
