Mpi Cooling Fan Direction

I can’t seem to get enough info from previous posts about this so here we go.
I am just refitting my mpi engine back in and am cleaning up a few broken sensor connector etc. One of the things is to replace the cooling fan plug as it was replaced by previous owner with bullet connectors and not switched male to female with polarity so I cannot tell which way to wire back in. Wiring diagram is available for loom wiring and -ve is black +ve is green/black. That’s sorted ok.
Fan has been replaced and wiring is blue or black! I would guess black to black, but if I do the fan, which is mounted internal/engine bay side of the radiator is blowing from inside car to external, counter intuitive to driving airflow direction. Is this correct? Makes no sense to me. To add to this the rotation direction on the fan says it should go with blowing out from engine bay to external!
Does anyone know what it should be or could someone go and start their mpi and let the fan cut in to check the direction for me, either external to engine bay with driving airflow or engine bay outwards?
Many thanks
Matt

Doesn’t the fan normally sit in front of the rad?

Yes, the MPi fan is a pusher unit that attaches on the front (grille) side of the radiator. I wish there was room to mount it on the engine side and run it as a puller - then I could put an air-conditioning condensor on the front instead.
If you attach and run it, just get something that will make a smoke stream and see which way it flows. Or, if your place is a non-smoking establishment, probably a thin paper streamer attached to a stick would show which way the air is blowing.
