Hello there after having problem with my clutch pedal not returning. I replaced everything circled in blue and replaced the clutch fluid and still didn't solve my problem so a mechanic friend of mine heard about my problem and had a look while I wasn't around he believes it the metal body master cylinder that i have and says i could either get a repair kit or a new cylinder.

I've decided to replace it, What my real question is other than the Master cylinder and sealing gasket that I've circled in red do I need to buy anything else.

Thank you in advance.

PS. Anyone know a good place to get a new cylinder from.

I would also consider the clevis pin as it is most likely worn to death.

Did you bench bleed it? My understanding is that when replacing something like a master cylinder, you want to bleed it in a vice. There's a massive amount of air in there when new, and if you don't bench bleed, it pushes them throughout the system.

I don't know much about these clutch cylinders, but I'd give it a whirl.

I'd pull apart the master and see what the condition is like. If the bore is nice and smooth and no obvious scratches or corrosion, I'd just do the seal kit and see if that helps.

I did mine two years ago and it's been working great

I think I'm going to remove the cylinder and then assess what state it's in.
