Hi, I've just brought a 96 spi cooper, it has a few idle problems and was wondering if it has a diagnostic port to help solve the issue. Many thanks

Yes it should have, a grey multi connector between the heater box and the steering column under the lower dash rail.

Thanks RedRuby, I'll  go and have a look and see if I can find it. Do you  know what type of reader I need to get the info out?

SPI didn't have an OBD port like the MPi... Even though it's not really an OBD port..

Some late JDM SPi do have the OBD like port.

That's easy, you get the three pin connector to usb, you'll need a usb to phone connection to let you communicate....
