I'm the new Dreaded Current Owner of a 1988 Mini Mk V. She's been fully restored AFAIK. No body rust, great paint, engine very clean, underside immaculate etc etc. Shows 63000 KM on the clock but who is to say for sure?

Here's a pic on buying day, next to my 2011 BMW Countryman.

This is a LHD Canadian market production model. VIN indicated 1000 c.c. but she's got the 1275 lump. Poly-U engine bushings. Bosal exhaust with twin straight-through tail pipes.

I'm gonna have loads of questions as this is my first classic brit car (though I have some Lucas electric & British engine experience with my '74 Norton Commando motorcycle).

Cheers!

Love this... I have both a proper classic and a new fangled countryman and there is a place for them both in this day and age.. the new shape has the space that family's need these days..

The classic has the masses of smile appeal....

Enjoy your mini what ever the size... mini or maxi...
