Hi folks

Now that my car is roadworthy, I’ll start to address the problems which aren’t so critical.

As pictured, the bonnet doesn’t sit that well. I think it could do with going back 5mm or so towards the windscreen.

It’s a new bonnet, there’s a foam strip below the back of the bonnet, and there is a rubber water seal at the front of the bonnet above the grille.

Any tips?

Again sorry for the rotated images, but I’ll blame the iPhone!

There's 4 nuts anchoring the bonnet to it's hinges, loosen them and the bonnet will move around a little, then re-tighten. It'll probably take a few attempts before you get it where you want but you should be able to get it a lot better.

I have the same issue, but don't seem to be able to get it completely right.

As Bobbins says it's easily adjusted, but take care, use at least two people.  What I've done is put a couple of layers of masking tape on the scuttle panel to avoid damaging the paint with the bonnet. This is where my problem has been, adjust it so the gaps look right and it catches the scuttle when you open it, sort this and the gap looks to big!  Watch that paint though.

A tip with it touches the scuttle is to dress the edge of the bonnet rear lip in a bit. It can give you that extra couple of mm to make all the difference.

Thanks.

Yes I was the one who fitted it, but I couldn’t get it to sit right when fitting the first time. I think it’s settled now and is sitting better, but definitely needs to go back a bit.

I’ll maybe try bending the rear lip as you say sonik

I did all sorts with mine on Paddy and that was a Heritage bonnet. Lots of tweaking here and there to get it sitting nice at the back. Just a shame at the front as its not really flat enough but i can live with that.
