Hey guys and girls!

I am testing the water at the moment to see how much interest there would be in custom clock / gauge faces for the old style Mini.

Basically, the plan is to design the clock faces using the customers instructions, then print them on a special paper (which will never fade) and glue them on to the original metal clock faces.

I have just completed a set for my Mini, which you can see below.
I am only able to do the 110mph clock range as found in the later Minis, to be more specific the Nippon Seiki models.
If someone can send me a template/scan of their different style clock, then I should be able to base a new design on that.

I have done a sample as shown in the picture, and the customer can specify which font colour, background colour etc they would like, and if they would like any custom text or images (perhaps a Mini badge or something similar) this will also be included in the price.
So just to confirm, you will only get the dial faces which you will have to fit to your old clocks. This is easy for anybody to do, all you need is a screwdriver to change the original clock faces.

You may notice that the speedometer for my Mini goes up to 140mph. This is because I had trouble finding the correct speedo drive for my new engine and gearbox, meaning the speedo wasn't reading right. For example, when I was doing 70mph, the clock in my Mini read 52mph.
If you have a similar problem, I could do a similar thing for you. I will need a list of what speed your clocks read when you are doing the real world speeds of 10mph, 20 mph [in 10 mph increments] to as far as you can achieve. This can be measured by using a Road Angel or similar device which accurately calculates your speed using satellites, or my method was to follow a friend in a brand new car and have them flash their hazzard lights when each 10mph increment is achieved.
If you can do this and provide me with the details required, you will actually be able to know how fast you're going! Trust me, it's handy!

Should there be a large amount of interest, I may consider running a service whereby the customer sends me their old clock faces, and I apply the custom graphics and send them back.

Remember, these will be a one off, and of your design. It will make your interior highly personalised, and no one will have the same design as you.
If you want to subtley stand out from the crowd, these are just the thing for you!

(Please note the quality of the graphics will be much higher than on the sample image below. This is done to prevent people being able to just print off my images and 'nick' them!)

So can you let me know whether you would be seriously interested in this?
If there's enough people, I may go the whole hog and set up a website and everythin.

Thanks for your time

I'm looking for £20 incl postage per set, which is the design printed on the special paper, ready for the buyer to glue onto their existing clock faces.
It's an easy job to do, just need a screw driver and common sense! :genius:

Hi mate
Yeah that would be fine, I should be able to do anything for you as long as I can get a decent scan of it, so the smaller clocks as well as the 2 main clocks shouldn't be a problem.
I'll PM you my address, if you can send the clock faces to me through the post I'll get straight on to designing them how you want me to.
Cheers
Steve

On GT clocks the numbers are not on the dials, but the ring round the outside... which Is how a managed to pick up a NOS one off ebay for pennies ( they thought it was in KPH )... lol

isnt the fuel/temp gauge the same though? Could still have the logo on there, if it can be bought seperately. Keep it understated, would look really good too! :P
