Hello,
Don't seem to be on for ages, now can't yet off!

Right, put complete new clutch in 91 mini, think it's verto short arm, bled it up fine no leaks but it's solid!!

Is it possible that I've put something wrong way round, can a pressure plate be put in wrong way. I'd taken old one out that long ago I can't remember how it went and no instructions with it.

Thats what I ment friction plate!!

Wondered if they could go in wrong, just wanted some confirmation before I take apart as engine in car

Maybe this video will help you. It's hard to tell what is wrong from the information you provided. Maybe it helps watching this video of a guy replacing his verto clutch:

I once had a blocked hose, but I doubt it's the case in your situation...

Not sure if it's the same on a verto, but on a pre verto the clutch release bearing plunger can be rotated 180 degrees out and the release arm fitted into the 'wrong side' of the plunger hole. This gives a solid pedal.
