Are you still using the electrical one?

also look getting a sandwich plate for the thermostat housing or even a tapped housing, you won’t need to do any drilling and tapping!

No its a mechanical one which is why I needed something like this as it has a long sender unit, I will have a look at sandwich plate although they seem to be like hens teeth or extremely expensive for what they are

Doesn't the sender screw directly into the head where the previous electrical one was? (mine does)

Mine has never been drilled or tapped which is the initial issue and I have no means to do that

Do a search on here, there's several people having problems with retrominis unfortunately. I think some are taking him to court.

I’m sure the head is tapped I don’t recall seeing one that wasn’t .. I could post a pic if it would help bit of a pain on here though!

MPi heads aren't tapped.

As said - search the forum for news on Retrominis - basically avoid.

That item looks pretty generic and probably available from many places - first place I'd look would be Car Builder Solutions https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/

In fact it is a Mocal one: https://www.demon-tw...daptors-245515/

Yeah thanks for this, although I dont think that will work as the sender is so large on a mechanical gauge, I should have gone for a electrical one.

Many heads are not drilled and tapped I can assure you of that many of the cars I have had have not been

SPi's don't have a tapped head either. Water temp sender is fitted in the water heated inlet manifold.

Thank you for this I have placed an order with demon tweeks, now im probably going to have a struggle getting my money back from Retro Minis I guess but I have opened a paypal dispute so hopefully get my money back

I did manage to get them on the phone after trying about 20 times today and the phone saying user was busy, but as soon as it was ringing apparently the guy I need to speak to had left and I havent heard back since, I also phoned Monday and left a message with the lady on the phone and didnt hear back that time either, I have tried facebook and two emails to no reply. How very frustrating
