Looking for one of these. They only seem to be made in the US.

Or does anyone know a way of getting a 5mm longer than standard rod?

You can get an M8 die on the rod, you need 2 push rods.thread one as far as you can go. Get a M8 long round socket from eBay ( they are about 25/30mm and 2M8 nuts. The other rod cut close to where it attaches to the arm and thread it to the domed end so that you leave enough smooth rod that won't chew up the slave rubber. Fit the lock nut and socket to the arm end then cut the other one with enough thread to get the other lock nut on. Sounds long winded but takes 20 mins if you can get what to do from my description. Had it on 3000 miles not moved and no problem so far.
I found the genuine slave from Minispares a much better bit of kit than the cheap ones.

We used to fit a nut inside the slave as a spacer for the push rod.

If you need a longer pin its gererally a sign that somthing is wrong or worn, so Id look there first.

another alternative that has been used a lot in the bast is to heat the arm and bend it a bit at the top.

How about a female spherical joint & a cut  down bolt? Likely to be too fat, but you could grind/file plenty off the ball & socket without affecting its function.

Any machine shop should be able to make an adjustable push rod for you.

I’ve currently got a wheel nut threaded on the end. Only way I can get it working. Everything in the clutch assembly and hydraulics is new. It’s very odd and annoying.

I’d agree with you. But everything has already been replaced and made no difference. I’ve tried flywheel, back plate, clutch plate, diaphragm swaps and various combinations and nothing works. I reckon. I’ve thrown over £250 at trying to get my clutch working properly. It’s a right nightmare.

Having recently done a rebuild with new everything I was surprised how far in my stop bolt had to go. Yours looks way too far out for everything to be good and right.

Have you checked the wok for cracks?
I vaguely seem to remember someone having one that had cracked in the area of the plunger or maybe the release arm pivot which caused clutch problems that were difficult to diagnose.

You say everything is new, but have you used quality components?

I’ve had cheap slave cylinders that hit the end stop before fully getting sufficient travel, a lengthened rod sort of fixed it but it never felt right. A genuine slave cured the issue.
