I recently noticed that the wet grip and fuel efficiency ratings have changed.

Anyone try the new and improved version? I'm trying to decide between the new Falken 914 and these.

Falken 914 is a good tyre it is a slightly harder tyre than the yoko but outlasts the yoko massively

I wonder if this would apply to the "new" Yoko A539 which appears to have alot of Silica used to change its specifications, as detailed in the link above.

Could be, the Yokohama warms quicker than the Falken but has higher wear rate

I hope this doesn't 'improve' them for the worst.  I'm not bothered by 'hard wearing', I'd rather be upright! I can't see a viable alternative to the A539s right now.

What you need are the good old Dunlop C41 cross-plies with a 5-20 width (pre-radial size)  ;D .

For those of us on 10" wheels, Blockley now do the Dunlop SP3 in 165/70 x 10 size and I'm told that it is excellent and at a sensible price.

Interestingly, the Falkens have a better wet rating!

Does anyone here have experience of these yet? They look superb and I will be very interested when I need a new set of tyres.
