Hopefully just an easy question, are all classic mini seat head rests adjustable?

I have an original 76 Canadian spec mini with the more rounded style headrests. The are all the way to the seat and dig between your shoulder blades. I tried pulling up on them with a bit of pressure and nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can't say for sure, but with my 80's seats I had to really fight to get the headrests to move. At one point I almost gave up thinking they must be fixed, they were that tight.

Bit of quick research shows the GLZ135 headrests were fitted to quite a few British Leyland cars

The headrest is held at the height you want by a 'retaining barb' (spring clip), over the years the clip invariably gets rusty & you can't move the headrest without a LOT of force which might break the clip.

This post gives several suggestions for free-ing them up....
