I'm looking at replacing the Solex Mikuni carb for my mini when I finally have it running and came across the FAJS Weber.   I looked on the Weber website which said that it is a Chinese copy of the weber 40dcoe but not up to the same standard.   But looking around at different Weber carb set ups and nearly all that I seen in packages use the FAJS carb.

Does anyone have any experience using this carb?

Are they any good?   Or just junk?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, FAJS are straight Weber copies made in China, and they are quite cheap.

I would give them a try personally, but since many Weber useres in motorsports switched over to petrol injection, there were plenty of used DCOEs on the market for reasonable prices and so there was no sense in buying Chinese copies.

by the way:

Even Webers weren't manufactured in Bologna any more but instead somewhere in Spain.
