I'm in need of some new A panels for my 1990 studio 2. I'm going to buy them from minispares when i go and and get my new rubber cones on wednesday so i just need to know how to fit them! I understand there's some welding to be done? If so then that would be fine as i have my own 130amp mig welder that i can weld with quite well. I just need to be shown a "how to guide" or be given instruction on how its done now.
can anyone help?

spot weld down the seam with the wing, a little weld across the top on to the A post, and a little spot on the bottom to attach to the sill seam, then it's a matter of bending the lip over to trap the hinge panel, this needs to be done carfully and slowly, ideally with a special tool, but I use a water pump wrench and a block of wood. One bent over a couple of spots on the inside a 1/3 and 2/3's distance to finish the job..

thanks for that guessworks. is there any chance of any pics of removing it as i can see how it'd go on but taking the old one off seems the hard part????

if you plan on doing a few repairs i'd suggest getting this or something similar as it shows you exactly how to do it
