I have a broken hinge on one of my opening rear quarter light.
Can i change my glass in to another chrome frame or do I have to change it as a whole?
As I have a collection of stickers on my glass and would like to keep them on the car.
Cheers

Put the seal in a bowl of warm lightly soapy water and use a mini ratchet strap around the frame to coax it in. Pulling on the rubber also helps to thin it out and get the frame over. I have tried the mastic method but the glass wont be centered in the frame and it looks odd, and its a nightmare to get it out again when its cured.

Hey, sorry to sort of hijack your thread a bit - did you manage this? I too have some glass Id like to keep but unfortunately I cant find just a frame. Also, how did you get your glass out from the frame?
Thanks

In the end I bought a 2nd hand rear quarter hinged window and carefully peeled off my stickers off the old window using a hair dryer to re stick on the new one.
