Is the exhaust steady bracket necessary when having two top and two bottom engine steadies, as the diff bracket won't fit now I've fitted the LCB manifold and I'm f@@ked if that's coming off again

I have 2 top and 2 bottom steadies and use that clamp because there is still movement due to rubber bushes in the steadies. I also welded in a flexible pipe behind the rod change.

No sorry, I haven't but it is similar to this one but the right size for the RC40 centre pipe. https://www.ebay.co....bcAAOSwEftaqn1B

I have two lower and one upper steady installed for 16 years with no LCB cracking issues.

I found that when fitted a perfectly good manifold rusts through right where that clamp fits and so removed it with no ill effects. My car was a daily driver.Steve..

I would fit it - the exhaust system is quite a large piece of kit swinging around on rubber mounts and it something hits the silencer (not uncommon on our low cars) this will limit the damage.

It can be secured without the bracket, as show in JohnR's photo here:

I think we may be at cross purposes here - if you're asking whether to use the original pea-shooter bracket, then no because as I think you've found it doesn't fit. Use the clamp you pictured and the short link plate which needs bending to the shape shown in the picture of mine that graeme posted above.

Off topic slightly, but unless you're up to the limits of the Freeflow manifold, this alone is why I won't use an LCB - not enough gains for the difficulty of fitting/removing/sealing.
